Overseeding is an annual process in most desert climates, while I was pursuing my degree I had the opportunity to work at Eldorado Golf and Country Club giving me that experience. I was involved in preparing warm-season turf for transition by lowering mowing heights, verticutting, and cleaning up surfaces to ensure strong seed-to-soil contact. I also assisted with calibrating and applying ryegrass seed across fairways, tees, and practice areas, followed by carefully managed irrigation cycles to promote uniform germination while minimizing disease pressure. Throughout the grow-in, I monitored soil moisture, turf density, and traffic stress, making daily adjustments to water, fertility, and mowing practices. This experience strengthened my ability to manage seasonal turf transitions and deliver consistent, high-quality playing conditions despite challenging environmental conditions.
